Floating the Deschutes River is a fun, safe and relaxing adventure. We consider a lazy river float to be a must when visiting Bend, Oregon in the Summer. There are a few mellow floats on the Deschutes River the most popular being River Bend Park to Drake Park. This casual float takes about hour and a half meandering a little over 2 miles past the Old Mill District, through the safe passage of the Bend Whitewater Park, finishing off at scenic Drake Park downtown. Cascade East Transit’s offers a floater shuttle service, June 13 through Labor Day for $3.00 all day. Float Shuttle Schedule. This section of the River can be floated on anything from an air mattress to a kayak or stand up paddle board (SUP). Tubes are the most popular and we do rent those but why not spice up your float with an Inflatable Couch, Lounge Chair or Party Island?
